This Privacy Policy explains how J Studios (“we”, “us”) handles your information when you play Tower Defense (the “Game”), whether in a web browser or as a mobile app. By using the Game you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a password. Passwords are stored only as a salted cryptographic hash — we never store or see your actual password.
- Game progress & profile. Your chosen player name, gameplay progress (levels, cards, currency, trophies), clan membership, and friends list. This is saved on your device and, if you have an account, synced to our server so you can play across devices.
- Purchases. If you buy in-app items, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google. We receive a confirmation that a purchase was made (and a transaction identifier) so we can deliver the item — we do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Technical data. Basic data needed to run an online service, such as your IP address in server logs and the timing of requests, used for security and reliability.
How we use your information
- To provide the Game: accounts, cloud save, leaderboards, clans, and live PvP.
- To deliver items you purchase and prevent fraudulent or duplicate purchases.
- To send account emails you request, such as email verification and password resets.
- To keep the service secure, debug problems, and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Service providers we share with
- Hosting — our servers and database are hosted on a cloud provider (Render).
- Email — verification and password-reset emails are delivered through Resend.
- Payments — in-app purchases are handled by Apple App Store / Google Play, and purchase validation by RevenueCat.
These providers process data only to perform their service for us.
Data retention
We keep your account and game data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we remove your account record and associated personal data, except where we must retain limited information to comply with legal or financial obligations.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time from the Social tab inside the Game.
- Access or correction. Contact us (below) to request a copy of, or correction to, the personal data associated with your account.
- You can also play without an account; in that case your progress stays only on your device.
Children’s privacy
The Game is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your data, including hashed passwords and encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International users
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. By using the Game you consent to this transfer.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the “Last updated” date above.
